Description:

Diamond Crush is a puzzle game to be released worldwide before the end of 2006 by the Italian Diamonds Team, totally for free on different PC operating systems, under open source Public Domain license. The First Playable Version, a sort of pre-alpha for offline multiplayer gaming only, is already available for download onto the official game site for playtesting purposes.

The game has been developed in java 1.5 using lwjgl library and agile development methodologies, such as Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Extreme Programming (XP), both adapted to a context where the development team isn't located in the same place, but spread throughout a whole country (as Italy, in this case).

Attention: Java 1.5 ***MUST*** be installed

Isn't it a KDE game?
I can't see how an article about a FREE game can be seen as commercial or spam.

That does not change the fact that it's written in Java and this site is not www.Java-Apps.org. Plus there is even a link to a Windows version.

Just because it's free doesn't mean it should be on here. The license is kinda weird too; I haven't found a real "license" (public domain is not a license).

Doesn't mean the game doesn't look interesting, just that it shouldn't be here.

hmmm..... well, if it's open source (even
if the license is something strange) and
runs well in kde that's good enough for me
to be here....

Also misrecognizing as a commercial game
means it's at least graphically well done,
or not?

Many applications run under KDE. The Windows application that I use all the time runs under Wine under KDE. Just like how this game runs under JRE under KDE.

And yes the graphics does look good, though I'm not the one who said it is commercial software :P

The problem is, even if this game is free, it is not related to KDE in any way (ie. does not have KDE user interface, is not based on QT/KDE libraries).
Such games could be added to happypenguin.org, but kde-apps.org is not a good place for them.

How is this a KDE application? :-)

Looks like a commercial spam-like message. Not connected to KDE/QT at all

I've you would've read some words on their homepage you wouldn't need to have guessed:

"[...] the Diamonds Project, a free didactic collaborative project to learn on the field how a videogame is actually produced and completed, making use of agile programming methodologies, such as Test Driven Development (TDD) and Extreme Programming (XP)"

maybe not actually KDE related, but doesn't look commercial neither
